SPORTS UPDATE WEEK 3

There is such a wonderful buzz of activity across all of our sporting codes, just like across our whole school. There are training sessions every day in the mornings and afternoons with plenty of games too.  Wednesday netball teams and hockey teams already had 2 games, as well as our newbies waterpolo & flippaball teams.  Kidzplay netball games started last Saturday and little league, miniball and basketball are starting this week. We are going through a grading process after which our teams will end up in divisions with teams from other schools with similar ability.

We thank you all very much for letting you children participate and having them on time wherever they need to be. It can get really busy with all the draws and training times and places to be and we appreciate your efforts very much. Special mention again to our coaches, managers, umpires and referees and all of you who step in or offer to help even though sometimes you feel out of your depth! Children benefit from sport in many ways and hopefully you will see changes in their ability, skills, teamwork and even self management skills.

Rippa rugby tournament is in full preparation and we are very fortunate to be able to utilize the Deep Creek Reserve for our trainings. The day of the tournament is Thursday the 27th of August at Windsor Park and if you are not able to coach a team we would really like to see you on the sidelines cheering us on. You can pop in for a game or two, all stay the whole time. We have 15 teams training really hard and 150 very excited children.
