Welcome to a very busy start of term 3. It is with great joy to announce that we have a record number of teams playing sport in term 3: 8 basketball teams, 5 miniball teams, 4 little league teams, 3 splashpolo teams, 3 newbies splashpolo teams as well as 11 netball teams and 5 hockey teams which continue their season. Alongside these after school sports we will also have a few sporting events in term 3 which take part during the day so please keep an eye on your emails and look out for notices which should come home if your child is participating.

If you have registered your child for an after school sport you should have received their team placement and a draw for their 1st game by now – if this is not the case, please contact Monika urgently. All registrations for term 3 sports are now closed.

It is always very hard for us to find coaches for Torbay teams and I would like to thank all the people who offered to coach or manage a team from the bottom of my heart. Although it is time consuming it is also very rewarding once you see the progress the children will achieve and I am sure you will have a few giggles in the process 🙂 On that note, please remind your children that when they attend trainings they must be on their best behaviour and always display gratitude and kindness towards the coach and their teammates. Please support them by being present at trainings if/when you can.

It was very frustrating that our rip/rippa/tackle rugby tournament was postponed for the second time. The organisers are working hard to find another suitable day and we will inform you of this as soon as we hear any news. Our second official date for the tournament is the 2nd September but the organisers are working hard to squeeze another tournament in before that date. Thank you for your understanding and support with this.

Please keep an eye on these very helpful websites as they post draws and regular updates there : – Splashpolo, Newbies Splashpolo, The East Coast Bays Sports League Facebook Page for info about Little League, Miniball and Basketball, for netball, – for Y6 netball, – for hockey and our website – here you can also read our comprehensive Sports Guide 2021.

Go Torbay!
