SPORTS UPDATE WEEK 11
Flippaball and Newbies Waterpolo are played on a termly basis and registrations for term 2 are still open. If your children like water and are confident swimmers please sign them up as soon as possible so we can register Torbay teams in the competition and secure a training space in the pool.
For the 2021 winter season, 11 netball teams were formed and training arrangements are being finalised. We appreciate your understanding with fitting everyone in. We are very fortunate that we are able to train in the Covid world on our wonderful new turf. Thank you to all whānau members who volunteered to coach, manage or help in any way – without you we truly would not be able to play netball in such a large scale and we appreciate your support very much. THANK YOU!
We have a record number of 5 hockey teams for the upcoming winter season. Their trainings will start after the school holidays and I would also like to thank everyone who supports Torbay School hockey – you are all very generous with your time and expertise you pass onto our children and for that we are very grateful. THANK YOU!
Little League, Miniball and Basketball continue into term 2 as they are played on a per Semester basis. We have received the draw for the remaining season and wish all the teams the very best. Play hard and play fair. We have 15 teams participating and a large number of parents coaching, supporting, driving and cheering the children on. It is wonderful to see the progress the children are making and the new skill they have already learnt.
