Teaching level: Year 3 Room 15

I have been at Torbay School for over 10 years, teaching Years 2, 3 and 4. I enjoy guiding children through the learning process and seeing them succeed. Child directed learning otherwise known as inquiry learning is a style of teaching and learning that I am very interested in. I lead the Inquiry Team. Children learn through doing; questioning, exploring and discovering answers. Inquiry learning allows children to gain skills to support lifelong learning.

I believe that children learn best when they are happy and comfortable, and when they feel safe within their learning environment.  Learning is fun and there are plenty of smiles and laughter throughout our journey

I love teaching at Torbay School as I get loads of opportunities in teaching and learning. The children are wonderful and the staff are fantastic to work with.

On a personal note...

I have been happily married to Paul for many years. We have two children Sarah and Timothy. Sarah is a qualified nanny and swimming instructo.  Tim is a talented musician and is currently studying at University.  We have a young dog called Molly and a cat called Lacey.

As a family we enjoy camping, fishing, boating, movies, and having fun.
