Tania Parangi

Kia Ora,I’m a proud solo mum of an energetic and animated son who joined Torbay Primary School in 2011. As a fulltime-working mum I understand the need to provide for my family whilst balancing the challenges of my sons education and future. This is a task that is made easier knowing that I am blessed with the support of my whanau who are helping me raise our next generation.

I have been a local to the bays since I was 3 and was head girl at Long Bay College. This is an achievement that I hold in high regard, as I was the first Polynesian student in the history of the college to obtain one of these roles. I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business later in life because I never considered myself to be an academic. I came to understand the benefits behind my education and the difference it has made in my professional life, and I want this for my son too.

I have been working in Corporate business for 22 years, and am experienced in management, people leadership, talent development and the delivery of a differentiated service to my customers. I consider the opportunity to serve on the BOT as a privilege to make a difference with our Tamariki.
