Parents and Teachers Association
|
PTA stands for Parents and Teachers Association. It is made up of representatives from the Board of Trustees, the teachers, and the principal, Mrs Sandifer. The PTA coordinates the big events that raise the funds to improve our school. It is also responsible for the many social events that make the experience at Torbay Primary so memorable for the children such as discos, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Stalls, and the Christmas Parade. Joining the PTA is simple. If you’d like to be on the planning committee, please attend a monthly meeting. Dates and times are listed in the weekly newsletters. If you’d rather not be part of the planning but are willing to lend a helping hand at an event, simply ask the school secretary for contact details or respond to announcements in the newsletter. You are always welcome. The PTA is a great way to get involved in your child’s school. It’s a fun way to get to know other parents, the teachers, and the staff. It takes a team effort to make things happened and the PTA would be happy to welcome you to the team. CLICK HERE TO SEE EVENTS PLANNED FOR 2010 |
